You see things taking a strange turn. It is an all out war in the North. The Israelis are not taking their defeat lightly (it is a real defeat by the way- maybe not knockout but a defeat nonetheless). You can see how they are becooming so childish- violently childish. They are killing people, destroying infrastructure, and so blatantly putting no weight for any internaltional law or regulations.

The Americans are so blindly in support of Israel. Israel has the right to defend itself. But what about the others? Does anyone else in this region have that right?

In Ramallah it is different. students are celebrating their school leaving exams results. Fireworks and songs. But on the margin, what is happening in Gaza, and what is happening in Lebanon is in the back of everyone's head. You have to celebrate your triumphs in life.
