Like the scent of a jasmin,
in a summer's night,
memories of you fill the air,
so strong, I can hold,
so soft, I can caress.

So soft and so strong! The scent of jasmine in the hot nights, how could this memory be so contradictory?

so sweet, and yet so existent.

when you are talking about memories, keep in mind they will never come back, they dont exist any more, only in your imagination, you can hold and caress, maybe its you, who killed the person of the memory, why do you care about the scent any more?

The Lotus

On the day when the lotus bloomed,
alas, my mind was straying,
and I knew it not.
My basket was empty
and the flower remained unheeded.

Only now and again
a sadness fell upon me,
and I started up from my dream
and felt a sweet trace of a strange fragrance
in the south wind.

That vague sweetness
made my heart ache with longing
and it seemed to me that is was the eager breath of the summer
seeking for its completion.

I knew not then
that it was so near,
that it was mine,
and that this perfect sweetness had blossomed
in the depth of my own heart.

Rabindranath Tagore

believe in memories....believe in love we people need not be together to feel the way they do, maybe we try so hard to complete each other rather than help each other stand strong and free to feel the genuine love we hold so deep in our hearts...marriage is a unity not a ring not a paper...love is what matters..and what prevails. I feel your loss....i live it.
"And what of Marriage, master?"
And he answered saying:
You were born together, and together you shall be forevermore.
You shall be together when white wings of death scatter your days.
Aye, you shall be together even in the silent memory of God.
But let there be spaces in your togetherness,
And let the winds of the heavens dance between you.
Love one another but make not a bond of love:
Let it rather be a moving sea between the shores of your souls.
Fill each other's cup but drink not from one cup.
Give one another of your bread but eat not from the same loaf.
Sing and dance together and be joyous, but let each one of you be alone,
Even as the strings of a lute are alone though they quiver with the same music.
Give your hearts, but not into each other's keeping.
For only the hand of Life can contain your hearts.

And stand together, yet not too near together:
For the pillars of the temple stand apart,
And the oak tree and the cypress grow not in each other's shadow.
